Sunsplash 7's Tournament

Aggie Rugby took SoCal by storm this past weekend as we entered the SunSplash 7's tournament in Irvine Ca for the first time in Aggie history! We traveled down Thursday evening and enjoyed Friday at El Corona del Mar. We relaxed by body-surfing the waves, tanning, and playing a game of beach volleyball. Saturday we woke up early to begin our Rugby Day. We entered in the Social Division and played some great teams from throughout California. After 6 tiring matches, our day was finished. Being mainly a 15's team, we gained invaluable 7's experience. Our team enjoyed Bruxie's waffle sandwhiches as post-tournament dinner. Sunday we trekked back through the 5 and finally made it back home. We will continue to practice during the summer and hopefully we will play another 7's tournament this summer. We can't wait to continue growing in our 7's gameplay. Aggie Rugby, Aggie Pride!
