Round Robin Tournament and past updates!

Get excited because this weekend UC Davis Women's Rugby is holding our annual Round Robin Tournament!!! WOO!!! This year we are hosting Sacramento State and the University of Nevada Reno. The date is set for THIS Saturday, December 6th with our first game at 9:00 am UC Davis vs. Sacramento State. Our ladies have been working very hard to kickoff the season with a fun filled tournament. These will be the last home games we play until our regular season begins. So clear your schedule and come on out to support us!

Schedule thus far:

9:00 am: UC Davis vs Sacramento State

11:00 am: Sacramento State vs. University of Nevada Reno

1:00 pm: University of Nevada Reno vs. UC Davis

Other Announcements, Pronouncements, and Reminders!

A LOT has happened in the past couple months. We ventured down to SoCal for the Scrum by the Sea tournament. The weekend was a great team bonding experience and an even more fantastic way to get tons of rugby experience, for both our new Rookies as well as our Returners. We played a total of 6 games, so our weekend was very long, however we gained invaluable playing time and we are now much better Rugby players than we were before. We played teams such as NorthRidge, UCLA, Arizona State and the University of Arizona (and much more!). At the end, we were victorious against UCLA and CSU Long Beach. Go Aggies!

Another huge day for UCD Women's Rugby was at the National Qualifying Stanford 7's tournament! After 5 games, we went to the championship game against Cal Berkeley for a spot at Nationals. Although we took 2nd at the end of the day, our Ruggers walked away with priceless experience! We also featured several of our new rookies who show great promise to our club. As a very new 7's team, we continue to grow with every pass, tackle and run. Congratulations to our fantastic, hard working Aggie 7's team!
